McIver Reddie

(American, 20th century)

There is little known about McIver Reddie, although collectors and dealers consider him to be a competent New England wildlife, marine and landscape painter who was active after 1915. He was highly influenced by the French Impressionists and the hunting and fishing scenes of Frank W. Benson of Boston. Reddie is thought to be highly skilled at painting birds with accuracy and he did do some illustration work.
